Welcome back to a new academic year!

In our class you will find Miss Mason and Mrs Rowlands.

Our P.E. day is on a Monday. Our PE kit is black shorts/leggings or joggers and a plain white t-shirt. Please can all jewellery be removed for PE lessons.

🌟 Expressive Arts Focus – Autumn Term 2025 🌟

This term, our learning will be guided by the Expressive Arts AoLE (Area of Learning and Experience). We’ll be using the much-loved story The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson as a creative springboard to explore a variety of expressive arts media.

Through drama, music, dance, and visual arts, children will:

🎭 Act out scenes from the story and explore character roles through performance
🎨 Create artwork and props inspired by the woodland setting and characters
🎶 Compose soundscapes and songs to bring the story to life
💃 Use movement and dance to express emotions and retell key moments

These activities will help develop pupils’ confidence, imagination, and collaborative skills while deepening their understanding of storytelling through the arts.

We’re excited to see the children’s creativity flourish this term!

Mr Millier has been helping us to develop our balls skills through tennis activities.

During the summer term, we have Forest schools with Mary. We have visited Garth Park, Treherbert Woods and Barry Sidings.

Dosbarth Gwyrdd have been learning all about pollution and photography. As part of our Eisteddfod topic, they created a digital photomontage to represent their chosen type of pollution.

Autumn Term 2021: We are so pleased you've come to visit! Our topic is "Here We Are". We will be learning about Space and astronauts before Christmas, before learning about volcanoes, earthquakes and climate change in the Spring term.

We have also been working really hard on our Christmas production which we can't wait to share with you!
